Each youth is provided work-readiness training, a lifetime membership to the Kuder online career planning tool and environmental education (modules include Nature/Environmental Awareness, Cycles of the Ecosystem, Water and the Watersheds and Plant Maintenance and Resource Conservation). The youth also participate in an opportunities job fair, tours of the Water Agency facilities and informational interviews. Each crew member also has the opportunity to complete the Sonoma County Work-Ready Certificate.
Volunteer Opportunities and Community Service Days
The 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 community service days were a success. The community service days provide youth throughout Sonoma County a one day volunteer opportunity to enhance their local streams and contribute to their community. The youth who participate are the first to hear about potential summer job opportunities.
